September 12-14, 2008: Immanuel UCC Catonsville A Closer Walk Retreat Information:

Who: 15 Immanuel people and/or friends

What: A Spiritual Retreat, time to make new friends, strengthen relationships, and slow down for a weekend.

When: Friday evening, September 12—Sunday morning, September 14

How: Carpool from church. Leave at 6:30 on Friday.

Why: To grow closer to God

Cost: (includes room, board, one yoga class, materials) $80 + $25 + $7.50 + $12.50 = $145.00

Where: Blue Mountain Retreat Center, Knoxville, MD (1 hr. 15 min. west of Catonsville)

Where: St. Johns UCC, Catonsville

Time: 11am to 3pm, Registration begins at 10:30am

October 12, 2008:  United Evangelical UCC's 135th Anniversary Oktoberfest 2008
Planning is underway for the Oktoberfest scheduled for October 12, 2008. Several committees
are being formed to handle the planning, food, entertainment, set up and clean up for the festival. Also donations of prizes for the raffles and items to sell at the festival are being requested. If you can help or have any suggestions, please contact Cissy Funk at 443-676-9957or via email at jakco22@hotmail.com.
With everyone's help our festival will be a great success and will help to serve as an invitation to the neighborhood and visitors to come and be a part of United Evangelical Church.

November 2, 2008: United Evangelical UCC’S 135TH Anniversary Celebration. Please Click the following link- United Evangelical Anniversary Info: to view the information for this event. They need singers from around the association to participate. All are welcome to attend.

November 8, 2008: Webster UCC Bazaar from 9:00 am-3:00 pm There will be a silent auction and a bake table.

November 9, 2008: United Ministries,Earl's Place is having a Reception and Silent Auction on Sunday, November 9 at Overhills Hills – 2 p.m.

January 1, 2009: United Ministries,Earl's Place is hosting a New Year’s Resolution Run@ 2 p.m. in Patterson Park. Proceeds will benefit Earl's Place.

PEOPLE’S CHURCH OF DOVER, UCC:

Centennial Committee at Work

 The centennial celebration of People’s Church of Dover will take place over a two weeks period in 2009.  A Centennial Committee of more than a dozen members is already working on the preparations.  The committee chairman is Fred Hotchkiss.
